NMIX 4510 is the capstone class for the New Media Certificate program. I took this class in the Fall of 2021. During my time in this course, I was placed into a group of 5 students. As a group, we worked with Shaw Inc. to create an app that will truly help to revolutionize both the flooring and haptic technology industries. Check out more about my project below!

During my time working on this project, I was tasked with many different parts of our project, however a few of the highlights are listed below.

Website Developer- created and maintained the website for our project
Communications Director- communicated and sent all emails with client (Shaw Inc.)
Presentation Leader- created and formatted presentations that shared information about the status of our project

Additionally, during this course I choose to recreate my NMI Portfolio. I did this by creating a new WordPress template and updating it with all the information needed from each class I have taken throughout my time in the New Media Institute. What I Took Away

Overall, NMIX 4510 (Capstone) was an amazing class that taught me a lot. Through this course I was able to practice communicating with clients, working with a group of team members, and presenting a project from start to finish. This course allowed me to further my skills as a developer and as a presenter. Furthermore, this course allowed me to better understand how I can use the skills I learned by earning the New Media Certificate in life after college.
